mass run

mass run has been over for quite sometimes ,
but am here to post.
oh ya it was like take bus there and meet wenjing,
then reach the destination together.

And soon went on to running.
i must say it i was rather fun as we can run together
with our schoolmates and last of all i won fifth but
to me i don't think i won ,as we know that miaomiao
was quite a good runner and her stamina i must say
is very good,but she did not run on that day.

oh ya i remembered something i wanted to post,
it was only my opinion,as the mass run has always been
held at the yishun park,there are some things which i think
we should improve on.
when i was in secondary one,during the mass run,in front of me
was a guy,due to the wet floor he slip and fall which i suggest if
is raining on that day we should change our destination.
Another thing is at the finishing line,there should not be too
many students crowd around there as e runner was running in,
hence it might bang into them.
Mass run is also to encourage students to run but ,
many of the students ,no i should say most of the student were
walking and chatting away which i think that should not be the way.
In order to encourage students to run ,i think teachers should run with
them and to pushed them to their further limits.

anyway is just my opinion.
after the run,
i went to eat with my friend.
It was rather a funny story about this meal with him.

Is SMS killing the Language?

1) What did Dr K.K. Seet think of students using the SMS language in their schoolwork and teacher-pupil relationship?

Answer: Dr K.K. Seet think of student using the SMS language in their school work lack of etiquette. He also believe there should be a certain degree of social decorum and such SMS language takes the student - teacher relationship to a level of casualness which he do not like.

2) What feedback did Mrs Adrienne Pereira give on SMS language being shown over national TV?

Answer: She think that SMS language repeatedly screened in the SMS bar during weekly episodes of American Idol on Channel 5, which she think is a signal that using a massacred form of the english is tolerated and accepted. She feedback that such messages should not be broadcast on national TV as an English-Language station should promote good english.

3) Why do you think Nicholas spelt "rocks" as "rawks"?

Answer: I think partly is because of habit, and he feel that the creative spelling makes the words more aesthetically pleasing hence that make him spelt "rocks" as "rawks".

4) How did Nicholas's mother react to her son's using SMS language?Give her constrasting views.

Answer: Nicholas's mother thinks that it is the in thing for teenagers who are used to these short forms, hence she did not react anything to her son's using SMS language. She thinks when they start writing, they know they have to use good english.

A deep feeling video-WATCH it

What is the message of the video?

I think this video bring to me a strong feeling of sadness and injustice. From this video we can also see that many things were destroy, yet we do nothing about it, makes me feel bad about it. SO I think the message of this video is to tell us to spread our love to them, help them before it is too late.

Mention 3 things that touched your heart?

I can’t find anything that touched my heart. To me, I find it pitiful for those people, from the video could see that many houses were destroyed; many people are homeless and shortage of food and drinks for them. They do not have any clean clothes, they also do not have any education unlike us we are so fortunate. From this video I realize how fortunate I am, having such a wonderful family and friends, a shelter for me, delicious food and drinks, lots of new clothes.

What 2 things you can do to make a difference?

I think I would donate storybooks to them, as those storybooks I do not need them; hence it also can help those people to get some education and learn from those books. I would also donate clothes, that am not suitable anymore to those people too, as clean clothes is very important to, if them keep wearing dirty clothes, it is very unhygienic hence it will cause people to fall sick easily. So I believed we can make a difference for them.
